Activities & Clubs
There are many extra-curricular activities offered at Bethel Manor Elementary School. These activities are offered to help children reach their full potential, improve their school performance, and express themselves and work collectively as a group beyond the school day.
Page Turners Book Club
This book club is open to all fourth graders. Students will read common books of interest and discuss the books. This will be held every other Monday from 3:30-4:15 PM.
Lunch Bunch Book Club
The Bethel Manor Lunch Bunch Club is made of students who love books! All third graders are invited to join. Each month students read one of two pre-selected books. Those students who read the books and demonstrate an understanding of the book meet during lunch to discuss the books.
Safety Patrol
Safety Patrols (grade 5 only) apply for their positions and are selected by teachers based upon academics and behavioral criteria. Before and after school they assist around the building to make the environment safer and more orderly. Meeting times for Safety Patrol are the third Wednesday of each month from 3:30-4:15 PM.
Student Council
The BME Student Council Association (SCA) is made up of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Each classroom selects a representative and an alternate to attend monthly meetings. The meetings are held after school on the first Thursday of each month from 3:30-4:15 PM.
A general election is held in the fall for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to elect the Student Council President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, and Historian. The SCA is a service organization. It sponsors a variety of activities including a canned food drive, service-oriented projects, and school spirit days.
